Winter sowing (direct, February)

Dill is a perfect crop to winter-sow. It means I can take a good harvest of dill for the freezer before the other crops need the space. I have to be very efficient with the area I've got — anything I can finish early is a win. I used to interplant dill with cucumber, but these days I grow dill first and cucumber with the corn later.

A friendly reminder: every garden plays by its own rules. Zones, soil, weather and a hundred small things decide what works — so this is how I did it and what worked for me, not a promise. Try, learn, adjust, try again.. that's half the fun anyway.
