January and February are my winter-sowing months, and this year I’m trying beetroot for the first time. It should work in theory — if it doesn’t sprout in spring, I’ll just start fresh seeds the regular way.
Placing the seeds in trays, which is the nice part — everything prepped indoors, then the trays go straight outside.
Out into the snow.
A lid on top.
Then into an outdoor greenhouse to wait for spring.
