I’m still lacking a proper area for garden compost in the current layout, so I’ve been improvising instead. As soon as a bed frees up a bit of space I use it as an active compost spot, and garden trimmings go straight down as mulch rather than into a bin somewhere else.
Here I’ve emptied out some of the old buckets onto a cleared patch, which will break down over the next while and feed whatever goes in after.
