The kale has really taken a beating from slugs this year. The leaves are chewed and ragged, but thankfully I sowed plenty and in two rounds, so there’s still a good amount left to harvest despite the damage.
Whatever survives gets picked, rinsed, and frozen in smaller bags, so I’ll have kale to draw on all winter even though the season was a bit of a struggle for this particular crop.
