The early kale is giving a good harvest already this first week of March, still down in the growing basement but clearly ready for more space soon — it could probably move out to the greenhouse before too long.
By the middle of March it’s properly green and lovely down there, one of my favorite little scenes of the whole growing year: the basement full of green when everything outside is still bare.
