This bed has more gaps in it than I planned for, but it’s turned into one of the prettiest combinations in the garden this year regardless.
Cabbage does the practical work, and cosmos, a deep red carnation and one particularly handsome snapdragon fill in the rest — proof that a bed doesn’t need to be full to earn its keep.
