Making Soap for Christmas

Making soap for Christmas this year — once you’ve got the process down from making it for yourself, it’s an easy switch to making it as gifts.

Same method as always, just a bit more thought put into the scent and who each bar is for. Cut into bars and left to finish curing, ready to wrap closer to the holidays.

It’s become one of my favourite kinds of gift to give — something made, not bought, that costs very little beyond the time it takes. People remember it, too, in a way a gift-shop candle rarely gets remembered.
