A sneak peek of the new kitchen, mid-renovation — a mix of work from Ballingslöv, Junckers floors, and our contractors KW Bygg and Rörmontage, among others.
It’s easy to forget, looking at the finished result, quite how gutted the space was at this stage — down to the framing and insulation, steel props holding up the ceiling while the new floor plan took shape.
By November it was finished: dark cabinetry, an oak island, open shelving, and a proper island hood over the hob.

This renovation ran alongside the garden redesign for most of a year, and in hindsight the two projects taught me the same lesson: strip things back to the studs before you decide what actually belongs, whether that’s a kitchen or a flower bed.
