Planted this garlic quite late in autumn on purpose, hoping that would keep it resting underground until spring. Turns out some of it had other plans — sprouts are already showing above the leaf mulch. They look properly cold out there. It’s better for them to wait out the winter dormant, but they usually pull through fine even when they get an early start. Fingers crossed.
Still going strong a week later, even with more snow.
