How the bed is laid out

Red onion in the middle rows, winter carrots in the outer rows, and lettuce in between.

Three planned harvests: early lettuce first, then red onions from sets in the middle and autumn carrots and beetroot filling out toward the edges.

A friendly reminder: every garden plays by its own rules. Zones, soil, weather and a hundred small things decide what works — so this is how I did it and what worked for me, not a promise. Try, learn, adjust, try again.. that's half the fun anyway.
