Finally started chitting all the seed potatoes today — same process across the three beds planned for potatoes this year. This bed is built around an early harvest, so the varieties here are Casablanca (super early) and Juliette.
Doing it in cut milk cartons this year — last season’s tray-chitting left the roots a bit too tangled.
Some soil in the bottom of each carton.
And the potatoes go in.
