Out toward the lawn I have a low bed just for strawberries, set apart from the taller raised beds where everything else grows.
Keeping it low was deliberate — it makes the berries easy to reach and pick for kids, without needing to climb up or lean over the edge of a tall bed.
It’s a small spot, but it’s turned into a nice extra bit of growing space, and one that gets visited a lot more often than the rest of the garden.
