Not a bought centrepiece — nasturtium and a bit of ornamental kale, cut and put straight in a vase, sitting alongside cheese and this summer’s jam.
Most of what’s on this table came from the same forty square metres. It’s a nice reminder every August of what the growing season actually adds up to, beyond just the vegetables themselves.
