Writing this down mostly so I can hold myself to it. Five changes, this year:
01. Quit the corporate job. Leaving twenty years of corporate leadership behind to reclaim my time and build a life with more flexibility in it.

02. Build my own consultancy. Keeping the work I’m actually good at — change and digitalization — and doing it on my own terms instead of someone else’s ladder.

03. Leverage the freedom it buys me. Reinvesting the time that frees up into the lifestyle and hobbies that matter to me, the garden very much included.

04. Cut the waste. Reversing the cost spiral with smarter choices and a more minimal mindset, so there’s room to focus on what actually matters.

05. Let tech do the boring parts. Using automation for more than just work — saving time, simplifying life, and creating more space for everything else.

06. Time for continuous improvements. Five changes made room for an ongoing sixth one: paying attention to what’s actually working, and adjusting instead of overhauling. The guides below are that — the specific, small adjustments, written down.

I don’t know yet exactly what all of this looks like in practice. But this is the plan I’m starting from.
